Spreading the Holiday Cheer

So today I had to go to the post office. I know, yikes! But as if that were not enough, I had to go in a "wintry mix" and bring both of my kids. I also forgot the small stroller, so I had to heft out the big double one. So we make a run for it and get to the post office, and the outer lobby is totally full. But this guy helped hold the door open for me, and then took pity on me and asked if I wanted his space in line. So I graciously accepted, and he went to take my space in line, at the back, like 5 people back or so. Of course, they could not get more than one person working the desk at a time, so the line took FOREVER to move at first. I think we stood there for a good 15 minutes before the line moved at all, and then it moved more steadily. Nate and Graham were little angels for the most part, but then when we got to the front of the line both of them started to get antsy. So today I am grateful for the nice young man who gave me his spot in line, because it turned out to be the exact length that my children could handle the post office today. Merry Christmas to you random stranger.
